Imagery Poetry
Experimental poetry for images and events of our age.
The Story of Bus Stop Poetry, LLC
I, Mark M Pierzchala, am the creator and sole owner of Bus Stop Poetry, LLC. I am an emerging poet, a senior. I seek to experiment with new poetic forms made possible by modern technology.
Experimental poetry combines verse with existing or published texts, images, sounds, and/or video as relates to the modern age.
The first experimental form is with images such as photographs or drawings. I call this imagery poetry. See the Imagery Poetry sample for an example that uses messages posted on a bus stop.
The name of the company comes from my first Imagery Poetry called "At 22nd and Penn". This has more to do with the messages posted on the bus stop than the bus stop itself. See the Sample section.

Samples - Imagery Poetry
These are samples of Imagery Poetry where images and verse combine to tell a story.
The blue buttons are about the National Debt (really) and its progression over time. Where else are you going to find a poem about the National Debt? And from the POV of a bus stop?
The green buttons are about ghost bike and ghost shoe memorials.
The orange buttons are about the 25th Anniversary Remembrance of the 9/11 attacks on the US and the 11 Montgomery County, Maryland, residents who lost their lives that day.
All samples use cell phone images captured by Mark Pierzchala over the past several years.
